How to Set Up BotForge in 5 Minutes
You don't need to be technical. If you can copy/paste, you can set up BotForge. Here's how to get your first chatbot live in 5 minutes.
Minute 1: Create Your Account
Head to botforge.me and sign up. It takes 30 seconds with Google SSO or your email. You'll land on your dashboard — this is home base.
Minute 2: Name Your Bot
Click "Create New Bot". Give it a personality. If you're a bakery, call it "Bakery Buddy." A law firm? "LegalEase." Names make bots feel friendlier.
Minute 3: Give It Knowledge
Click the Knowledge tab. Here's the fast way: paste your website URL. BotForge reads it automatically.
No website? That's fine. Type or paste:
- Your services and prices
- Your return/exchange policy
- Answers to "How do I...?" questions
💡 80/20 Rule
Add the questions you get asked 80% of the time first. That's usually about 10-15 Q&As. You can add more later.
Minute 4: Set a Greeting
Go to Settings → Greeting. Write something like:
"Hi! 👋 I'm [Bot Name]. I can help with [your main offerings]. What would you like to know?"
Minute 5: Add It to Your Site
Click Embed and copy one line of code:

Paste it before </body> on your website. Done!
What Happens Next?
Your bot starts learning from conversations. Check the Conversations tab to see what people ask. Improve answers over time.
